Year 1 Manchester Museum

Class: Class 3 (Year 1) Year: 2019-2020

On Tuesday, Year 1 went on an exciting trip to Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry. The children had a fantastic time seeing how cotton is made and learning about how the twisting of the raw cotton makes it a really tough material. We were all really impressed by the different means of transport that were on display - many children considered swapping their parents’ car for the ‘chinook’ helicopter that was on display. The experiment hall offered the children the opportunity to learn science through hands on investigations and the smiles on all of the children’s faces was priceless. A huge thank you to the Friends Association for funding this amazing day out, which I'm sure that the children will never forget.  The Year 1 team.
