Here are some useful websites to support learning at home.

 

Please be extra vigilant when your child is using devices and online content at home. Ensure there is appropriate adult supervision or an adult nearby when your child is online and follow the guidance found in the ‘Online Safety Parent’s Guide to Remote Learning’ in our Online Safety Section of the school website. Here, you will also find other guidance on parental controls and social media safety.

 

Seesaw

Seesaw is our whole school learning platform, which allows children, teachers and parents to access and engage in learning virtually through the Seesaw APP. Teachers can upload and share work and activities with parents and children virtually.

 


Purple Mash hosts a wide range of curriculum focused activities, creative tools, programs and games to support and inspire creative learning every day. From poems to newspapers, masks and 3D models, animations and textured paintings. As Purple Mash is online, children can continue their learning anywhere and anytime. As a school we use Purple Mash as part of our Computing curriculum and across the wider curriculum. Every child in school has their own login details that they use in school which enables them to also access a wide range of activities from home.

 

Spelling Shed is a whole school spelling scheme, which gives 100% coverage of the National Curriculum. Teachers are able to personalise spelling lists for their year group or individual pupils, with weekly spelling lists and games to learn the Common Exception Words for their year group. Every child in school has their own login details that they use in school which enables them to also access a wide range of activities from home.

 

Times Table Rockstars @ttrockstars | Ian Addison's Blog

Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice to boost times tables recall and fluency. Pupils from Year 2 have personal logins for this site and frequently participate in a Battle of the Bands, against another class or year group. Children are rewarded for both improved speed and improved accuracy based on their personal progress.

 

St Peter's Catholic Primary School - Phonics Play - now free for parents

This site is packed with interactive phonics games and resources to help children to learn to hear phonemes, recognise graphemes and develop the blending and segmenting skills that are vital for learning to read and spell.

 

CBeebies - Wikipedia

A useful site for Reception and KS1, with a variety of games, puzzles and quizzes, shows to watch and items to listen to along with ideas for activities and making things.
