Message from Mr. Cunliffe Chair of Governors.
Dear Parent(s) / Carer(s),
As we reach the end of the first half of the Spring Term, we have dealt with many challenging situations and I would like to start by thanking each and everyone of you for your support. The pandemic has caused us all to work in different ways and I am proud of all our pupils, staff and parents who have adapted and worked together through an active and positive partnership. This is to everyone’s credit!
When we entered the first half of the Spring term, I want to reassure you and be very clear about the potential difficulties Mrs. Westhead and her staff faced due to Covid-19.
The government left schools with very little time to put plans in place, but the staff have now reached a point where they can think more long-term about the management of provision for all our pupils. The government has stated that schools should not fully open to all pupils after the half term break (Monday 22nd February). The school will continue to make onsite provisions for the pupils who are currently attending. The majority of our pupils will continue to receive Remote Education until the government deems it safe for everyone to return.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families who have persevered with getting pupils on to Remote Learning. I know that this can be very stressful, and I hope that your child has been able to engage with the learning provided.
I would like to thank Mrs. Westhead and all her staff and pupils once again for all their hardwork this half term and I wish all our school community a restful break.
Regards and stay safe
Chair of Governors
