Allocation of Pupil Premium Grant

The school received £89,186.00 during 2016-17 in respect of Pupil Premium Grant.

It is intended to deploy the Pupil Premium to the following areas within the budget to raise achievement and narrow the gap between children from disadvantaged families and their peers.

Staffing Resources - Teachers:

  • 4 days per week small group interventions in English and Maths for pupils in KS1/KS2 April to July 2016 and 2 days per week September 2016 to March 2017


  • Half day per week supporting pupils with emotional/ social needs and supporting pupils with literacy/ numeracy. (April to July 2016


  • 14 Teaching Assistants : 5 hours per week targeted intervention programmes working with FSM pupils


  • HLTA 2 afternoons : Interventions in KS2 supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs




  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant: 1:1 work supporting a pupil with an EHC Plan (5 hours weekly - Summer term 2016) and Level 2 Teaching Assistant: 1:1 work supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (5 hours weekly).



  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant: 2.5 hours per week for April to March. Lunchtime support for pupils with social/ emotional needs. Nurture group work/ structured outdoor and indoor play



  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants: Support/ interventions for pupils (1:1 and small groups). 36.25 hours April to July 2016; 23.25 hours September to March 2017)




  • Attendance Officer September 2016 to March 2017 (1 hour per week) to monitor attendance of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium, analyse attendance data, send out letters, hold meetings, lead on Early Help Plans as needed


  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants: to provide targeted Literacy support interventions (September 2016 to March 2017)
