Our School Garden
At the heart of our school are the children. We take the view that “every child counts” and try to treat the children as individuals as much as possible. Whenever we make decisions we always consider what impact it will have on our pupils. Although our school is popular and well-established, we are never satisfied and are constantly seeking ways to improve the provision we give. Times are changing and we constantly face new challenges, both in terms of changes in technology and expectations of the children and parents. We aim to be a centre of excellence in the community as well as forward-looking in our attitude towards education.
We invest heavily in human resources, which we believe is the best way to raise achievement and meet the needs of all our pupils. All our staff and governors are committed to the school and dedicated to their task of caring for the pupils. Our teachers have a wealth of experience to offer our pupils and inspire them with well-planned and exciting lessons.
We believe that good behaviour is crucial to maintain the positive and calm ethos of our school, and our priority is to engage children in their learning whilst helping them develop a positive attitude towards the school and other pupils. We insist that the children treat the staff with respect and demonstrate good manners at all times. The learning environment plays a large part in encouraging independent learning, so we have refurbished the Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 areas (inside and outside) to make them bright and stimulating places to work. This has had a positive impact on the children who love having spaces which are conducive to effective learning.
Lowton West School is a thriving school community where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are proud of our pupils and consider it a privilege to serve the community of Lowton by giving children the best possible start to their education.
